AYSO Team Managers play an important role in our program and help organize the administrative functions of the team, allowing the coaches to spend more time focusing on soccer skills, practice sessions and team/player development. Team Managers also give advice, supports, and guidance to the team regarding AYSO activities, and encourage team sportsmanship, especially on the sidelines.
They assist communicating schedules, to helping distribute uniforms, assisting by picking up items for the team or coaches from Division Directors or the Region, making sure all players/parents are communicating schedules and availability, and helping make sure all Team Roles are being fulfilled, organize an end-of-the-season party!
NOTE: When you are contacted by the Head Coach on your team about a team meeting, let the coach know you are interested in being the Team Manager. If you selected the Team Manager position in your account the Division Director will likely try to spread these roles out across teams, however here may be other parents on the team who also want to be Team Manager. The role can definitely be split, however the final decision is with the Head Coach.
